Operator friendly
First and foremost, the new Moog FCS controller is operator friendly. During the design process, many customers from automotive and aerospace test laboratories have been interviewed to obtain the specifications for a controller “designed by the user”. A number of features result directly from their inputs.
-
A large 640x480 full color VGA display (in contrast to ¼ VGA displays available on the market) leaves room for more, and more detailed, information.
-
The number of buttons is limited. The functions of the available buttons change based on the current function of the controller; no need to have unnecessary buttons cluttering your front panel.
-
Cables on the back. No cables are attached to the front of the SmarTEST ONE controller (except the optional keyboard), leaving your desk free for other items.
-
A display with a consistent layout. The same functions are always placed in the same locations.
-
A turn-push encoder knob for user input results in easy adjust/acknowledge action. Just turn to adjust then push the same knob to acknowledge.
-
PC-coupling for downloading simulation spectra or coupling to RPC tools.
-
A PS2 Keyboard connection enables quick and easy input of names and other data.
