Seat Test Rig 

This servo hydraulic seat test rig is located at the IAV GmbH in Gifhorn and is designed to perform fatigue tests on seats, seat structures and arm rest structures. The test rig can be modified easily to accept various test specimens.

The test rig allows testing of seat adjustment mechanics and other features as part of a complete seat test. Foam crack damage and similar information can be analyzed on the rig. The seat loads are simulated with the help of seat dummies or arm rest dummies.

A special feature of this machine is the possibility to measure the remaining deformation of the seat structure and seat foam components. A data acquisition unit allows measurement and storage of deflection, crack growth and accelerations.
