ECoL Q&C-Line
25 Years after setting a new standard in control loading by the introduction of its patented force-loop servo control with model-follower technology, Moog FCS continues to make significant advances in control loading systems design. With the recent introduction of the sixth generation electric control loading systems, the ECoL Q&C line, Moog FCS has set the new standard.
The ECoL Q-line is based upon high performance direct drive actuators. In combination with high speed digital interface electronics and sophisticated software running on an industrial PC, these actuators offer the highest fidelity with FAA Level D performance.
The ECoL C-line is based upon highly compact actuators. In combination with high speed digital interface electronics and sophisticated software running on an industrial PC, these compact actuators offer very smooth, extremely stable and reliable performance.
The new system architecture is based on digital amplifiers and a digital interface between the real-time computer and the amplifier/sensors. All actuators have their own Servo Drive with integrated amplifier/Power Supply and signal conditioning. The Servo Drive is linked to the real-time computer by a high-speed digital interface (Moog FCSNet).
The ECoL Q&C line actuators are controlled using Moog FCS's patented Model Follower Force Loop, and hence virtually no friction from the motor is reflected to the flight control.
