Aerospacetest FAQ  [ 1-4 ] Question 3 Upgrading from version 4 to version 5 without problems Answer IMPORTANT: In version 4 bridge B calibration data is stored in the SmarTEST Host program, in version 5 bridge B calibration data is stored on the Real Time Frontend (RTFE). Write down bridge B gain and offset for all channels, don't forget to write down Ring number and SCU/ACU number as well, because you need them to fill in the correct calibration data in the FCS Explorer. Make a backup of the folder "C:\Program Files\FCS Control Systems" De-Install SmarTEST version 4 via 'Add/Remove Programs' command which can be found in the Windows Control Panel. Install SmarTEST version 5 from Setup CD. If you are upgrading the Host PC (which takes care of booting the RTFE and SMC racks), you must copy back the boot configuration files (bootptab, rtasks etc.) from the backed up FCS Control Systems folder. Enter bridge B calibration data in the FCS Explorer, and execute command 'Save Configuration' on the RTFE. This will save all data to the hard disk in the RTFE. [ Back ]
