4-Posters, NVH/BSR Testing

The SmarTEST system is particularly well suited to 4-poster tests with the capability to go to 4 channels in the SmarTEST ONE and up to 8 channels in the SmarTEST X2 system.  With a combination of SmarTEST and FasTEST, durability or NVH/BSR testing can be done with the same software and hardware solution.

 

The ability to do full drive file preparation with the FasTEST time-sliced iteration system and the ability to perform MIMO random and sine sweep on the same test system provides an extremely flexible and cost effective solution.

 

Random vibration Testing is straightforward with the ability to specify the PSD shape and apply limits based upon the PSD values in each frequency band.

The Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output control feature provides a complete model-based adaptive correction including cross coupling compensation.

For all drive channels it is possible to specify the following signal properties:

• Statistical properties
  • Pseudo random noise
  • True random noise
• Crest-factor
• Phase offset between DOF’s
• Coherence factor between DOF’s
• Calculate theoretical displacements for the test article

Given a generated time series it is possible to estimate the feasibility of this drive signal on the selected shaker. This is essential for safety of the test rig and test article.
