2-DOF System for Submarine Simulator

Moog FCS also designs and build motion systems that provide motion in Roll and Pitch. These unique systems are mainly used to simulate the movements created by the sea for applications such as ship deck or submarine simulators. They include a complete cabin especialy developed for such applications and capable of receiving up to 6.000 kg (13.200 lbs) of payload.
3-DOF or 5-DOF System for Train Simulator
Moog FCS developed a train simulator motion system that has a large surge envelope in order to better simulate the accelerations and decelerations of trains. Combined with either two or four smaller actuators for pitch, roll, heave and sway, these systems provide an ideal solution for train simulators that need to fit in normal height buildings. The construction even allows the simulator to be placed on the second floor without having to make an extensive foundation.
6-DOF Spider System for Vehicle Simulator
The E-Cue 632-Spider, is capable of handling a Gross Moving Load (GML) of 4,500 kg (9,920 lbs) and comprises of six 32" stroke electric actuators. This system is usually chosen for easy access and low building requirements thanks to its unusual design having its actuators attached to the side of its cabin which incorporates its own projection screen. Designed for cars, trucks and tanks simulators, this system remains a reference for its efficiency within restricted envelopes.
7-DOF System for Car Simulator

To be able to simulate lane changes or accelerating / breaking maneuvers to the fullest extend possible, Moog FCS has produced a 7-DOF system, that combines an E-Cue 620-2800 standard system which is put on linear guidings with a 60-inch linear actuator for sway (or surge). The software was rewritten to make full use of the extended envelope in order to be able to accurately simulate lane changes or accelerating / breaking maneuvers. The simulator has been developed in cooperation with IKK, Institut für Kraftfahrwesen und Kolbenmaschinen, from the Universität der Bundeswehr in Hamburg, Germany.
