Standard Motion Systems
Moog FCS produces a broad range of Electric Motion (E-Cue) platforms for the simulation industry. There are more than seventy E-Cue systems in the field, employed to provide highly realistic motion cues in simulators for trucks, armored vehicles, tanks, trains, fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft. Their gross moving payloads range from 1,200 kg (2,640 lbs) to 12,000 kg (26,400 lbs), with actuator lengths of 500 mm (20 inch) to 1,500 mm (60 inch). Moog FCS offers E-Cue systems in unique configurations, tailored for specific applications, in 1, 2, 3, 5 or 6 degrees of freedom (DoF) configurations. The high- end E-Cue systems offered for the flight simulation industry are generally 6-DOF systems that meet FAA Level D requirements under the current Advisory Circulars AC 120-40B (for fixed wing aircraft simulators) and AC 120-63 (for helicopter simulators), and also MIL 1558 specifications. Moog FCS is the only company in the world producing electric motion platforms to meet these commercial and military specifications for any type of payload.
Moog FCS' standard Motion systems consist of:
-
The E-Cue 624-1800 model is capable of handling a Gross Moving Load (GML) of 1,800 kg (3,970 lbs) and comprises of six 24" stroke electric actuators.
-
The
E-Cue 624-2800 model is capable of handling a Gross Moving Load (GML) of 2,800 kg (6,170 lbs) and comprises of six 24" stroke electric actuators.
-
The
E-Cue 636-4500, it is capable of handling a Gross Moving Load (GML) of 4,500 kg (9,920 lbs) and comprises of six 36" stroke electric actuators. Such system is mostly used for level A/B flight simulation, for which programs, Moog FCS offers the design and production of customized simulator platforms that allow optimal use of the payload allowance. Moog FCS Also offers a Level 3 software, a complete installation assistance and a tuning session with this system.
-
The E-Cue 660-8000 was especially designed for FAA Level D Full Flight Simulation and is an electric motion systems that is capable of handling a Gross Moving Load (GML) of 8,000 kg (18,000 lbs) and comprises six 60'' (1500 mm) stroke actuators.
-
The E-Cue 660-12000 was especially designed for FAA Level D Full Flight Simulation and is an electric motion systems that is capable of handling a Gross Moving Load (GML) of 12,000 kg (26,500 lbs) and comprises six 60'' (1500 mm) stroke actuators.

The E-Cue 304 G-seat has 4 moving elements; its seat bucket, its seat pan, and its back-pad moving in sway and surge. These elements are combined with a shoulder and lap belt tensioning system. All elements are driven by high response Brushless DC electric motors with built in ball screws. The cueing system is designed to provide motion cues in three translational axes. Moog FCS also offers to combine the Motion Cueing G-Seat with its G-Suit system.
The Moog FCS G-seat is a further development of the experience Moog FCS has gained in motion cueing. It features the same high fidelity controllers and user-friendly interface as the Moog FCS motion and control loading systems. Furthermore, it is all digital, interfaces to the Host via ethernet, and features clever algorithms to increase cueing fidelity.
